My mom is having a luncheon the day before Thanksgiving.. I want her to make this recipe. I figure it would be a good appetizer.
I’m starving and wish this Broccolini and Feta Galette were waiting for me at home.
This butternut squash gratin recipe screams THANKSGIVING to me…
I’m 100% anti the idea of instant mashed potatoes, so I’d probably icksnay that part of the recipe but I’m into everything else.
Not only does this soup look good, but this recipe was under a section called “Skinny Fall Soups”.. I DIE!
The other day I blogged this White Pizza Dip Recipe… After seeing it, Coco decided we should make it this weekend… And we did.. and by “we” I really mean I watched her do it…
Coco wisely added sausage and shallots into the dip. It was effing bananas good slash I’m so bloated that I tried my new Louboutin’s on this morning and my feet were too swollen to put them on. BUST!
Kelly, please put this White Pizza Dip recipe on the menu for my winter visit…

I blame any pounds gained in the past few days on effing Sandy. Once I have electricity I’m going to need to go on a “post-Sandy diet”. This French Lentils with Roasted Roots, Caramelized Onions and Thyme recipe might be my kick-start diet meal.
Bite-sized fish tacos and individual patron bottles….
This recipe for gluten free honey fig ricotta not only looks easy but yummy and relatively healthy to boot.
As I am stuck indoors all I want to do is cook.. At least this Grilled Avocado recipe is low-carb.
For all of you New Yorkers with cabin fever,Edi & the Wolf will be open this afternoon and KAGE told me that Houston’s on 27th is open now too.
On Saturday night I experienced the glory which is Peking Duck House. While my waistline hates McNally for introducing me to this little piece of Chinatown heaven my tastebuds are beyond grateful… Honestly, THE BEST PEKING DUCK I’ve ever had in my life.. You must go and try it.. and perhaps if you are lucky, Senator Chuck Schumer will come by your table and say “hi” like he did ours.
Roll out puff pastry dough, bake 15 minutes at 400. Sprinkle with Gruyere (or cheese of your choice) and top with Asparagus. Brush with oil, top with salt and pepper. Bake another 20-25 minutes. -
KAGE sent out a mass email this morning proclaiming this the “Best Crockpot Chicken”… I’m shocked by the cream cheese and cream of chicken however KAGE is the kinda girl who appreciates good food (ie: Per Se) so I trust her.
Crock pot Chicken:
2-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (could use frozen as well)
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese (let sit out to soften)-you could use low fat CC for a healthier option
1 can cream of chicken soup (could use cream of mushroom)
1 pkg. italian dressing seasoning (the dried kind in the packet)
1 package of uncle bens MICROWAVE-(IMPORTANT !!) white or wild rice
1 cup of water or chicken stock
1/4 cup of dry white wine (optional)
stir the cream cheese, cream of chicken, seasoning, water , wine and seasoning together in the crockpot. i actually start it on low and let it all sit in there for about 30 min so the cream cheese is softer to stir. Add chicken and package of rice. stir together and cover chicken in sauce. cook on low for 4-5 hours (if frozen chicken cook on high) or until the chicken is cooked and fall-apart-tender. serve with green salad and yummy bread! Voila!!
I’m sorry but any recipe involving bacon and gruyere cheese is a winner in my book.
Who ever thought Quinoa could look so appetizing? I must try this Quinoa Burger recipe. For those of you on WW, this is only three points.
1. I went to Hobart with Eric Korsch.. He could not be nicer.
2. His restaurant, Calliope is beyond delicious. Their raclette fingerling potatoes are crave worthy.
3. Love his Rainbow Chard and Sorrel Gratin recipe in this week’s New York Magazine.
Fall slash Winter equals yummy pasta dishes and this recipe I found on Kelly’s Pinterest page is screaming to be made on a frosty Sunday evening.

I need to make Jacques Pepin’s Crusty Chicken Thighs and Mushroom Sauce ASAP. How yum does it look? Plus the recipe is dead easy.
Honestly, I don’t know who Pat LaFrieda Jr is.. I just read on Grubstreet that he trash talked my favorite burger from JG Melon’s.. Dead to me.
This recipe is pretty easy peasy post-work dinner to make… Kelly, I know it’s a summer recipe but perhaps we substitue corn for brussel sprouts?

Twix, do you like Butternut Squash? If so, I may have to make this recipe on Saturday night.
I just asked the bartender at Freeman’s what she thought the secret to a perfect moscow mule was and she said, homemade ginger syrup. Shake that up with vodka and lime juice, toss into a mule cup and add soda and a sprig of mint and you are good to go.
M2 texted me this morning that I look “dead skinny”… I mean, do I need these onion rings? NOT SO MUCH but I do deserve a little treat, right… Don’t worry, Goldie, I will burn them off tonight at gym.
One of the best things about Fall slash Winter is the weather is a vehicle for cozy food such as Rusted Garlic Mashed Potates.
Martha Stewart, why do you toy with my bacon emotions by pinning this Bacon-Wrapped Potatoes recipe? Don’t you know I’m hungry, about to go in a meeting and freezing?
On Friday night we had a “girls night” dinner at Jack’s Luxury Oyster Bar in the East Village. IT WAS BEYOND GOOD. We had the six-course tasting menu ($55) which included: 1.Roasted Oysters potato threads, serrano ham, smoked paprika

3.Arctic Char crisp skin with fresh peas
5.Pork Belly with corn succotash

As it is October 1st and there is a Fall chill in the air, why not make a Creamy Pumpkin Pasta for dinner?
When I see this picture all I can think is, “GET IN MY BELLY”… That said, the fact that the recipe involves “yeast” scares me… Making bread is not my jam.
If you, like me, are a Sriracha junkie that I highly recommend that you try Sriracha Popcorn. Popo’s brother sent him some and it’s delicious.
How Fall is this Flatbread Pizza Recipe? Worship Butternut Squash season…
Get your bacon fill this year, people.. I heard on “The Today Show” this morning that there will be a bacon shortage next year due to the droughts affecting the price of feed. I wonder if Turkey Bacon Burger’s will be big next year.
Is it just me or do these Cheesy Potato Fries scream SUNDAY FUNDAY… Picture it: cute outfit, football, leaves slowly turning on the trees in the west village, attractive single men watching football, mouth-watering cocktails and these Cheesy Potato Fries…I need to convince one of the West Village bars I frequent to add this recipe to their roster.
This Martha Stewart recipe is basically a meal in a cup. The best part is the prep time is only 15mins.
Okay, I haven’t had sushi all over the world but I have eaten my fairshare of raw fish and nothing compares to Sushi Sam’s. I mean, look at the pictures and tell me you aren’t jealous of my lunch yesterday.
P.S. Thanks Metts for the delicious lunch.
P.S.S. Jujubee joined us for this feast and he started taking food pictures too. He said he wants to start a food blog to rival mine. I would like to see this actually come to fruition.

The baby lobster tails are my favorite sushi. I mean, I had four of these suckers.. don’t worry, I ditched the rice.. That said, it was still a chunkball meal
I might need to make these Oven Roasted Potatoes with Bacon for dinner tonight. How yum?
Have you ever heard of the ceramic smoker, The Big Green Egg? I hadn’t until I went to Miss Maisie’s house in Mill Valley for dinner. Um, that thing is bananas. It also helps that the hosts are amazing cooks who whipped up the most delicious dinner, replete with homemade corn tortillas. DO YOU DIE?
