FOOD: This happened last night…

The other day I blogged this White Pizza Dip Recipe… After seeing it, Coco decided we should make it this weekend… And we did.. and by “we” I really mean I watched her do it…

Coco wisely added sausage and shallots into the dip. It was effing bananas good slash I’m so bloated that I tried my new Louboutin’s on this morning and my feet were too swollen to put them on. BUST!

FOOD: Recipe – This “French Lentils with Roasted Roots, Caramelized Onions and Thyme” recipe might need to kick-off my post-Sandy Diet

I blame any pounds gained in the past few days on effing Sandy. Once I have electricity I’m going to need to go on a “post-Sandy diet”. This French Lentils with Roasted Roots, Caramelized Onions and Thyme recipe might be my kick-start diet meal.

FOOD: The BEST Peking Duck in NYC…

On Saturday night I experienced the glory which is Peking Duck House. While my waistline hates McNally for introducing me to this little piece of Chinatown heaven my tastebuds are beyond grateful… Honestly, THE BEST PEKING DUCK I’ve ever had in my life.. You must go and try it.. and perhaps if you are lucky, Senator Chuck Schumer will come by your table and say “hi” like he did ours.

FOOD: RECIPE – Kage’s Crockpot Chicken

KAGE sent out a mass email this morning proclaiming this the “Best Crockpot Chicken”… I’m shocked by the cream cheese and cream of chicken however KAGE is the kinda girl who appreciates good food (ie: Per Se) so I trust her.

Crock pot Chicken:
2-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (could use frozen as well)

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese (let sit out to soften)-you could use low fat CC for a healthier option

1 can cream of chicken soup (could use cream of mushroom)

1 pkg. italian dressing seasoning (the dried kind in the packet)

1 package of uncle bens MICROWAVE-(IMPORTANT !!) white or wild rice

1 cup of water or chicken stock

1/4 cup of dry white wine (optional)

stir the cream cheese, cream of chicken, seasoning, water , wine and seasoning together in the crockpot. i actually start it on low and let it all sit in there for about 30 min so the cream cheese is softer to stir. Add chicken and package of rice. stir together and cover chicken in sauce. cook on low for 4-5 hours (if frozen chicken cook on high) or until the chicken is cooked and fall-apart-tender. serve with green salad and yummy bread! Voila!!
