Mindfulquest…. it has nothing to do with whose nationality the parade is for. It’s more that the Puerto Rican parade is the most popular of Summer 5th avenue parade’s therefore making it a nightmare to get around the city.
Dear lord! I remember my family got stuck in it in our car for hours when I was about 10. Horrid. Run for the hills!

I get that this all wasn’t supposed to come off as racist but it still does. We get inconvenienced by parades/marathons/UN stuff/etc etc etc all the time and it’s not usually news-worthy or called “disgusting”.
