When I went to see the Broadway revival of “Godspell” on Monday night, I knew nothing about it. That’s a lie, I knew that Hunter Parrish (the dead hot son on, “Weeds” was in it). To be honest, I was not expecting much. But Lala and I were pleasantly surprised.
I mean, how could we not when Hunter Parrish’s first scene on stage was half-naked. He walked out in white boxer shorts and a wife-beater. HUBBA HUBBA… and then he sang, and his voice wasn’t bad. He might make a better “Les Miserables”, Marius than Nick Jonas did.
And while I might not be religious (although as someone who went to Catholic School I do have Catholic guilt..but I also have Korean guilt so perhaps I’m just someone prone to guilt in general) I enjoyed the acting out of the Gospel of Matthew. All the voices on stage were fierce. The jokes were funny and again, Hunter Parrish is dead hot.
Hunter Parrish is also dead small. We saw him after the show and he’s TINY but VERY nice. He signed autographs, smiled for every picture and was all around engaging. How he looks the way he does, lives in LA and is still nice is beyond me slash makes me like his preemie mini-arse all the more.
Saturday
BREAKFAST: Baby N made scrambled eggs. They were delicious. I had those with a slice of toast.
LUNCH: I lived it up at Indian Harbor Yacht Club with Harmonica. I had this very yummy Artisinal French Onion Soup and a Salad with Pears and Walnuts.
DINNER: Obsessed with Aidells Terriyaki Meatballs so I had those and some rice and salad. YUM.
Sunday – Originally I was going to go back to NYC first thing in the morning. Then I heard that E and family were going to dim sum at Aberdeen so I extended my trip and tagged along with them. I love the dim sum there. So effing good and well worth the trip to White Plains.
BREAKFAST: Toast
LUNCH: Dim Sum FEAST
DINNER: Lexo and I were going to hit the movies but we decided to drink and eat instead at the Smith (Lexo, I love you for always coming downtown to me….). I think I may have had my last two Dirty Martini’s in 2011 with Lexo that night. Lexo and I split the calamari, short ribs and arugula salad. It was perfect.
Monday
BREAKFAST: Fage with Strawberry and raw sunflower seeds.
LUNCH: Gluten free baked pasta with peas and pancetta.
DINNER: A Jamba Juice… I was running errands apres work slash before “Godspell” so didn’t have time to eat.
Tuesday – If you are flying anywhere this holiday season, I suggest you go DEAD EARLY. My flight was at 6am. I figured I was safe to leave my apartment at 4am. 30mins to JFK. 30mins to check bag, go through security and pick up something to eat. NOT SO MUCH. It took over an hour to go through security. Shocked as it was so dead early….
BREAKFAST: at 5:30am I had a breakfast sandwich.
SNACK: My mom and I had Pinkberry at like 11am.
LUNCH: Soup and Rice and Korean BBQ
DINNER: Korean Soup with Rice Cakes. After I ate, I went to bed.
