GFJ – The best place for a big group dinner, SUPPER…

On Friday I organized a fourteen person dinner at Supper. Did you know that through the wine room Supper has a private dining room which seats 20 people. Replete with private bathroom and iPod doc, this private room is perfect for anyone looking for a raccous dinner.. which is bound to happen as house wine and beer are included in the prix fixe menu price. We went with the $65/pp prix fixe and I must say, it was perfect.. It’s a shame that I was too boozie to take pictures of the food. I can say that I recall the meal being delicious.. The meatballs, the chicken with mashed potatoes, the pasta, EVERYTHING was phenom. I can’t wait to plan another dinner this winter.

Sunday – I thought I was supposed to have lunch with my cousin but she flaked so I spent my morning at Zara and the gym… It was a nice way to start the week off.

BREAKFAST: Fage with Strawberry
LUNCH: Arugula and Lentil Chips and Hummus.
DINNER: Orange Chicken with Broccoli and Rice.

Monday – Once again I thought I was supposed to have a meal with my cousin. This time, dinner. So I woke up early and went to the gym.. and found out that she couldn’t do dinner. At least I got my visit to the gym out of the way.

BREAKFAST: Fage with Strawberry
LUNCH: Arugula Salad and like three bites of Orange Chicken and Broccoli
DINNER: Kale Salad and Bin Dae Duk

Tuesday
BREAKFAST: Fage with Strawberry and raw sunflower seeds
LUNCH: Trader Joe’s Falafels and Kale Salad
Dinner: Spasso with Lambo and LP. I ordered everything that Bite of the Apple recommended.

Spasso - Crispy Eggplant Arancini, whipped ricotta and roasted tomato

Spasso Housemade Stracciatella Cheese, Olio nuovo, Grilled bread

Spasso - Fuissili, Spicy Pork Ragu, Goat Cheese and Mint

Wednesday
BREAKFAST: Fage with Strawberry and raw sunflower seeds.
LUNCH: Trader Joe’s Falafels, Hummus and Kale Salad
DINNER: Bad Mexican Food which made me feel awful when I got home.. I didn’t even eat my entree as the Queso Fundido con Chorizo that we shared was so fatty and filling.

Thursday
BREAKFAST: Fage with Strawberry and raw sunflower seeds.
LUNCH: Leftover Orange Chicken and Broccoli with Rice.
DINNER: Radicchio and Watercress salad with Trader Joe’s pot-stickers… Seriously, someone needs to have a Trader Joe’s intervention with me.

Friday
BREAKFAST: Fage with Strawberry
LUNCH: Radicchio and Watercress Salad and I don’t remember.. Which is why I need to write this stuff down EVERYDAY.
DINNER: Feast at Supper

Saturday
BREAKFAST: Nothing
LUNCH: Ramen
SNACK: Cupcake from Magnolia
DINNER: Mashed Potatoes with Chicken and Veggies

Sunday
BREAKFAST: Toast
SNACK: Cupcake
LUNCH: Dim Sum
DINNER: Arepas from Caracas… Just call me Chunky Monkey.

I’ve done a few group NYE late dinners at Supper and it was always such a good time. Glad to hear it’s still a fun place.
